I did not fail like I thought I did!!! Grades have been posted and for my first semester I got an A and a B+.
Take that 16th Century French!! Right in the derrière. (Tee hee. Sorry, couldn't resist.)
Next semester I have a class on Monday nights. Which yes, to all my "Bachelor" fans out there, you know what that means. *sigh* Do you think it's too late to change my schedule???
Speaking of school, I went back to my alma mater tonight. Visited my former cheerleading coach. She is the only person I know that wears high heels to basketball games. Is it sad that I was more excited about hearing familiar old cheers than actually watching the game? I couldn't help myself and had to chime in.
Ok well I'm all cheered out now and tomorrow I must go confront a student that I caught cheating on my quiz today. (An A student no less.) Should be a good time.

Congratulations on your grades!
It does suck to have class during your favorite show, but now you can catch any show you want on the web! Just go to abc.com and you can check out the latest episode the day after the show. Love it.
congrats on the grades, and good luck with the student.
congrats!!!
bon travaille!! (Will told me to say that cause I asked him...I hope I didn't insult you just now)
High heels to basketball games?! Haha...too funny, but cute.
Do you have DVR? DVR has been my best friend so far during deployment :)
Of course you were a cheerleader! I was too for one football season before my dad made me quit! :(
Congratulations on your grades! As for the Bachelor, just watch it online! I'm sooo excited for this season because I wanted Jason to win on the Bachelorette (even though I knew ugly yet cute snowboarder guy would win). It's a plus that he's from my home state!
Fortunately (sp? for some reason that just looks funny to me tonight, no matter *how* I spell it) for me I've caught all my plagiarists long-distance so there has been time for the "flames on the side of my face" to die down to a few smoldering coals before I actually write out a response. I think cheating is a pretty big deal, though, and if I decided policy, cheaters would automatically fail my classes. Good luck dealing w/the situation.
Congrats on your grades - what a relief!
Do you have Tivo for the Bachelor? If not, watch it online. :)
Good luck with the student - I've got no advice for you.
Those are awesome grades!
My school did not have a cheating policy until I made a huge fuss at a meeting - can you believe they had NO policy?! In the end if a student was caught cheating they would receive a zero on an assignment, an after school detention and a letter home.
I never had trouble explaining to the student why cheating was wrong, it was always the parents that caused trouble, especially if the student was a good student overall.
Sometimes I felt guilty, but consoled myself by realizing that it's way better to get a zero in middle school rather than high school.
Sorry for the ramble!
Watch the Bachelor on abc.com. There's no reason you can't still follow the drama! ;) (Because you know you want to see what Deanna has to say to him... :)
As far as the speech, I'd go for the "I'm disappointed in you" one.
Good luck!
Awesome grades, lady!!
I wouldn't go with the disappointment speech. Chances are good they've heard it and don't care. I'd involve the kid in the process, talk to them about why it occurred and how you can fix the reason for the cheating. Then they'll leave feeling good, not sorry for themselves. Of course, I'm assuming the kids you teach are about 10 or so.
Congrats on your grades!!
As for the Bachelor, I discovered yesterday that one of my highschool classmates was one of the bachelorettes. Mwhahaha ;)
I say you take a ruler and slap his hands with it. Or not. If I'm not mistaken, this is the second time I suggest you abuse one of your kids. Can you tell I have absolutely no tolerance for Middle schoolers? Maybe because I was seriously bullied around at that age...
Anywho, what will you do without the Bachelor? No worries, we'll fill you in.
Wow well done, congrats on the grades!!!
No suggestions on the cheating smackdown, but make it good and tell us aaaaaaall about it ;)
Yeah, we named her betty because that's my grandma's name. Her initials are BMW, and she's old and white too. Lol! Is that bad!? She knows though and thinks it's hilarious.
Yay! Congrats on the grades! What an amazing job :0)
To solve your Bachelor problem, why don't you look into getting a Tivo/DVR? Honestly, between work and school, there's no way I'd be able to catch all of my favorite shows without my DVR! And the best part is, you can record the shows and watch them later and fast foward through the annoying commercials!! Congrats on the grades too!
Congrats, those are stellar grades!!!
I think I couldn't handle Monday night class :)
